Criminal, environmental and human rights lawyer.

I have over 20 years’ experience as a consultant and trial lawyer in all sorts of criminal cases, acting from the investigation phase all the way to the upper courts.

For 10 years, I represented vulnerable defendants in pro bono murder cases at the Central Criminal Court of São Paulo.

I am also experienced at dealing with sensitive investigations involving the handling of issues of high complexity at cases that expand beyond national borders. I regularly advise on reporting to and communications with public authorities.

For over 20 years, I assist human rights and environmental organisations with general legal counselling, training, capacity building, legal risk assessments, compliance and security strategies, as well as defences and accusations in civil and criminal enquiries and proceedings.

I am also seasoned in devising and implementing litigation strategies on a wide range of environmental, climate change and human rights related matters, across the country and abroad.

Lead lawyer at Climate Counsel and one of the experts at Ecocide Advice Centre.
